Regina rider Noriyuki Haga with Yamaha obtained a superb race two win, after having already scored second in the first race. For Haga this was the second win this year and the best result obtained so far.

In race one Regina rider Troy Bayliss crossed the line third, while in race two he was obliged to retire from the race, due to an engine problem.

Good result also for the Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari from Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team, third on race two.
